recently i finished "my name is kim sam soon"...and i just finished the 7th episode of "wedding"...both of which are good. but honestly, i have to check every now and then to make sure my penis didn't invert itself. what the hell is wrong with me watching all these sappy love stories...?! in any case, there seems to be a formula for almost all the korean dramas... 1) there has to be a love triangle. 2 girls going after the same guy, or 2 guys going after the same girl, or 2 girls going after 2 guys but the 2 guys like the other 2 girls...which is less an triangle it is a square i guess. 2) there has to be a tragedy...someone dies of cancer, someone dies in an accident, someone is dating their sister (yea, that happens), someone is terribly disfigured (but its really just a unibrow or something). 3) the lead guy has to be awesome at basketball and wear white belts with their jeans. the girls have to be soooo cute you want to kick them in the face (haha jkjk) and talk like the stereotypical korean girl...."OOOPAAAA" 4) the furthest a sexual relationship will get is holding hands. maybe there'll be a kiss or two but only after they've been dating for 2 or 3 years. in "wedding," the've dated 3 months, been married for 2 weeks...and the guy's kissed the girl 3 times? in that length of time, they should be working on their 4th kid. bedtime. |
